This 2007 Boyou Factory ripe puerh is an excellent tea for the price. Prominent notes of cooked dark sugar and wood with some plummy dried fruit notes peeking in and out. It's very clean with a nice dark chocolate bitterness hanging out.

Boyou Tea Factory was established in 2005, the same year these leaves were harvested. Supposedly most, if not all, of their leaves are harvested from Menghai County. Huang An Shun, the former head of the Fermentation Department at the Menghai (Dayi) Tea Factory, oversaw the fermentation department at Boyou when this tea was produced.
The whole cake is a beefy 400 grams - which is a nice size to have if you want to have some high quality, easy going ripe puerh in your stash for a while.
From a dry-ish Guangzhou storage.
