A most unusual etched metal tray featuring a veiled Muslim woman wearing what I believe is a "niqab." This tray is not marked and is made to hang using the brass hook on the back. It is also fully functional as a regular serving tray. The hook on the back is positioned so as not to get in the way for table use. It's not marked but I feel pretty certain it was made in Egypt. The etching is quite intricate and detailed. There is a little wear to the front of the tray but overall it's in very nice vintage condition. The back shows a lot of wear and some scratching. I think it might be brass but it's hard to tell. MEASUREMENTS: 13.5 inches wide x .5 inches high It's nice and heavy and weighs 1 pound 9 ounces.
