This lovely 1880s Victorian petticoat is white cotton and is made in panels and layers . The waistband is cotton binding , there is a front center panel, side panels and 2 back panels. Above knees is a wide pleat panel around.
The bottom of petticoat , which starts at knees has 2 layers . The under layer is a continuation of top with a wide cotton ruffle hem. The top layer is a lighter , sheerer cotton with rows of pintuck pleats and an eight inch ruffled hem attached with a narrow cutwork seam , below this is rows of pintuck pleats and rows of handmade bobbin lace .
The front is flat at body and flares out at hem the back is full from center down . There is no button or snap on waist .
The condition is nice , wearable . It does have some very light spots on left front side ( see pics)
The petticoat measures : 26" waist/ 38" hem
