Mumps investigation at local fitness club surprises gym members

On Friday both Tru-Fit Athletic clubs in Mission were closed due to a mumps investigation. “I came yesterday, took the class, everything was normal, we had no idea,” said Leonor Torres, a gym member who was turned away from entering the gym. Torres was surprised to find an empty parking lot at her busy gym, she said they didn’t tell her it was closed due to a possible mumps outbreak, just for maintenance.
